Kim Jong-un pays tribute to Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on the 13th anniversary of Kim Jong-il

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un paid a visit to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, where Kim Jong-il's body is located, to mark the 13th anniversary of Kim Jong-il's death.

The Korean Central News Agency reported today (18th) that Chairman Kim Jong-un's flower basket was calmed by Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il's victory.

Kim's visit was also attended by senior party officials, including Prime Minister Kim Deok-hoon, party secretary Cho Yong-won, and standing chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly Choi Ryong-hae, and Kim Yo-jung, Kim's younger brother.

Since Kim Jong-il's death on December 17, 2011, Chairman Kim has visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun around the date of his death, except in 2022.
