Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs selected 12 independence movements of the month to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation.

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of liberation next year, the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs selected a total of 12 "Independence Movement of the Month."

From January to December, 12 major cases were set monthly, with The National Debt Redemption Movement in January, the founding of the Singanhoe in February, the March 1st Movement in March, and the establishment of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea in April.

Since then, the foundation of the Geunwoo Association has been established in May, the June 10 Independence Movement in June, and the Liberation Association organization in July. August was chosen because the Japanese long-term expiration case was noted as a major independence movement,

In September, the establishment of the Korean Liberation Army, the establishment of Hangul Day in October, the Gwangju Student Independence Movement in November, and the formation of the 13th Creative Army in December.

In order to select this month's independence movement, the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs recommended 121 independence movement cases on the websites of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, the Liberation Association, and the Independence Hall for a month from April 23, followed by a selection committee to decide 12 cases on a monthly basis.
