The first impeachment trial proceedings of three prosecutors, including Lee Chang-soo, head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, have been suspended due to the appointment of a lawyer in the National Assembly.

Today (18th), the Constitutional Court held the first hearing of the impeachment trial of Lee Chang-soo, the chief prosecutor, Cho Sang-won, the 4th deputy chief, and Choi Jae-hoon, the 2nd chief anti-corruption officer.

However, Chung Chung-rae, chairman of the National Assembly's Legislative and Judiciary Committee, who serves as a "prosecutor" in the impeachment trial, did not attend the trial, so the process ended in three minutes.

It was found that the National Assembly did not appoint a representative in the impeachment case of the three.

The Constitutional Court decided to hold the preparation date again at 4 p.m. on the 8th of next month, believing that it is necessary to organize issues through preparation procedures.

Earlier, the National Assembly passed the impeachment motion against the prosecutor led by the Democratic Party of Korea.

The reason for the impeachment of the National Assembly was that they did not properly investigate Kim Gun-hee's alleged involvement in Deutsche Motors stock price manipulation.
