The first trial of the impeachment trial of three prosecutors, including Lee Chang-soo, head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, which was scheduled to take place at the Constitutional Court, was virtually not held.

This is because the National Assembly, which demanded impeachment, not only did not attend, but also did not appoint an agent.

The Constitutional Court held the first hearing of the impeachment trial against three prosecutors, including Lee Chang-soo, head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office.

It came 13 days after the National Assembly passed the impeachment motion on the 5th, saying it had not properly investigated the allegations of Kim Gun-hee's involvement in stock price manipulation.

The hearing preparation date is a place to organize both sides' arguments, evidence, and issues before a formal hearing.

But the trial ended in three minutes.

This is because no one from Chung Chung-rae, chairman of the National Assembly's Legislative and Judiciary Committee, who should serve as a claimant for the impeachment trial, attended.

Unlike the prosecutors who are subject to impeachment, the National Assembly has not even appointed an agent.

Constitutional Judge Kim Bok-hyung, who was in charge of proceeding the trial, explained that the court notified the claimant to attend the hearing while notifying him of the deadline for preparation for the hearing, but he did not attend.

Earlier, the National Assembly Judiciary Committee submitted a request for postponement on the 10th, but the Constitutional Court did not accept it.

The Constitutional Court decided to hold a preparatory date again on the 8th of next month, believing that issues and others need to be sorted out in advance in this case.
