The impeachment triggered by the 'December 3 emergency martial law' undermined Korea's strategic value.

Amid the difficulty in establishing relations with the U.S. during the regime change, there are concerns that it could lead to the withdrawal of U.S. troops from South Korea.

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump does not pay much attention to foreign internal political issues.

Even when the Syrian regime collapsed, he drew a line that it should not intervene, saying it was not a U.S. fight.

He also expressed interest in ending the war in Ukraine when his cabinet visited collapsed France.

Trump has criticized Democratic regimes that usually engage in changes in systems in other countries.

For this reason, it is widely expected that the alliance will only move for the benefit of the United States regardless.

Some experts note that South Korea's impeachment came at a time when the U.S. regime changed from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party.

Before and after former President Park Chung-hee's three-term constitutional amendment, the United States was moving from the Democratic Johnson administration to the Republican Nixon administration.

Nixon decided to withdraw a division of the U.S. Forces Korea, saying South Korea's leadership was unstable.

Trump also mentioned the withdrawal of U.S. troops from South Korea during the first period.

The pressure on the cost of stationing U.S. troops in South Korea has already begun.

[Donald Trump / U.S. President-elect (October 15): If I were in the White House, I would have paid $10 billion (W14 trillion) a year. [Because Korea is an ATM]

Furthermore, the U.S. Forces Korea reduction or withdrawal card may be brought up again due to political instability.

The possibility of the second Trump administration demanding a number of things against South Korea, which has been hampered by the impeachment brought about by the emergency martial law.
