The Daejeon Metropolitan Police Agency arrested a couple in their 30s on charges of abusing their 25-month-old daughter to death.
They reported to 119 around 1 a.m. on the 16th that the baby was not breathing at a villa in Seo-gu, Daejeon.
The baby was taken to a university hospital, but died, and medical staff found suspicious circumstances of abuse such as bruises and reported it to the police.
The police explained that they urgently arrested A and his wife after receiving the first oral finding that they were presumed to have died of cerebral hemorrhage caused by head damage through an autopsy by the National Forensic Service.In a police investigation, Mr.
A and his wife reportedly complained of parenting stress.
The police said they are separating the other children of Mr. A and his wife at the shelter and investigating whether there was more abuse, and they plan to apply for an arrest warrant as soon as they finish the investigation.
