In Seoul, the temperature has fallen to minus 10 degrees Celsius for the second day, and the temperature is expected to gradually rise from daytime to recover to normal levels.

Snowfall is expected across the country between tomorrow night and the weekend, with up to 10cm expected in some areas, except for the east and south coasts.

It was very cold this morning, but in Seoul, the temperature felt below minus 10 degrees Celsius for two days?

Yes, the wind chill in Seoul this morning was minus 11.1 degrees Celsius, below minus 10 degrees Celsius for two consecutive days.

The temperature was also minus 6.7 degrees Celsius, 0.5 degrees lower than yesterday when the extreme cold appeared, the lowest this winter.

In addition to Seoul, Panmunjom in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, was the coldest in the country at minus 15.6 degrees,
Many places recorded the lowest temperatures this winter, with a cold temperature of around minus 10 degrees Celsius in the central part of the country and inland areas of North Gyeongsang Province, including minus 14.1 degrees Celsius in
Daegwanryeong and minus 12.3 degrees Celsius in Cheongsong, North Gyeongsang Province.

The reason is that cold air with an upper temperature of minus 30 degrees Celsius came down from the north.

Fortunately, as the crisis of this cold is until this morning, all cold wave warnings issued in northern Gyeonggi Province and central and northern Gangwon Province as of 10 a.m. have been lifted.

From daytime, temperatures will gradually rise and Seoul will recover to previous years' levels in most parts of the country, including 5 degrees.

The cold of this time of year will continue until the weekend, but cold air will come down from the north again on Sunday, making it colder again.

For the time being, the Korea Meteorological Administration predicts that the pattern of "Samhan Saon," a characteristic of winter on the Korean Peninsula, will continue and the cold and temperature rise will be repeated.

From tomorrow night, clouds over the West Sea will come in with the west wind, and snow will begin to fall on the West Coast, gradually expanding inland.

In particular, Saturday morning and daytime, the weekend, is expected to be the peak of this snowstorm.

The Korea Meteorological Administration expected strong snow of up to 3cm per hour to accumulate up to 10cm in the central part and inland areas of Jeollabuk-do.

In addition, 3 to 8cm of snow is forecast in inland Gyeonggi Province and 1 to 5cm in Seoul, Honam, and Yeongnam.

The snow will mostly stop on Saturday afternoon inland, but the coast of Honam and Jeju Island are expected to continue until Sunday morning.
