As a result of last year's year-end settlement, the number of 100 million annual salary workers with total salary exceeding 100 million won increased slightly to 1.39 million.The proportion of tax-free people with no taxes to pay

has decreased slightly to 33%.

The National Tax Service said the average total salary was 43.32 million won, up 2.8% and 1.19 million won from a year ago.

The total salary of KRW 100 million was 1.39 million, accounting for 6.7%, up 0.3 percentage points from a year ago.

The number of tax-free people without a determined tax amount was 6.89 million, accounting for 33%, down 0.6 percentage points from a year ago.

In terms of average gross salary by region, Ulsan ranked first with 49.6 million won in metropolitan and provincial units, followed by Seoul second and Sejong.

In terms of city, county, and district units, Dong-gu, Incheon was 71.40 million won, Ulsan Buk-gu was 64.58 million won, and Icheon, Gyeonggi-do was 63.24 million won.

The number of tax audits has decreased and the amount of tax imposed has increased.

Last year, the number of tax audits was 13,973, down 201 and 1.4% from a year ago.

On the other hand, the tax levied increased by 9.4% and 500 billion won to 5.8 trillion won.
