Samsung's 'Bespoke AI Team' obtains certification of personal information protection-oriented design

Samsung Electronics' robot vacuum cleaner "Bespoke Artificial Intelligence Steam" has obtained "Personal Information Protection-centered Design" certification for the first time as a robot vacuum cleaner product.

Personal information protection-oriented design is organized by the Personal Information Protection Committee and the Korea Internet & Security Agency under the concept of preventing infringement of personal information in the entire process of planning, manufacturing, and disposal of products or services.

Previously, the Personal Information Protection Commission and the Korea Internet & Security Agency gave certification to home crime prevention cameras last year, and this year, they added four types of life-oriented smart appliances, including robot cleaners equipped with cameras.

Samsung Electronics' "Bespoke AI Steam" is applied with "end-to-end encryption" technology that encrypts images and videos taken by the product within the device so that personal information cannot be used even if the server is attacked or the user account is stolen.
