"I'm still scared of the stage and whenever I want to run away, I constantly think, 'Come to the karaoke room and enjoy it'. That's how fun music should be. That's what happened to this album."

Group Big Mama Lee Young-hyun is back with an album after eight years. It contains the story of veteran singer Lee Young-hyun, who overcame stage fright.

A press conference commemorating the release of Lee Young-hyun's third full-length album "PRIVATE" was held today (19th) at Ilji Art Hall in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

This is Lee Young-hyun's third full-length album in eight years, following his first full-length album "Plus+" in 2012 and "Yeohyang" in 2016. Lee Young-hyun said, "After giving birth, the timing did not come due to the overlapping activities of Big Mama. Then, after many twists and turns, I completed the full-length album," he said.

'Private' is an album that captures the moments of Lee Young-hyun's personal life, just like the dictionary meaning of 'private'. From stories you want to tell or hide from someone, to various moments you face in your life, to perspectives on love and separation, stories that are extremely private and can be sympathized with anyone are expressed through music.

It is noteworthy that the album is the title song of all 11 songs, including "JUST LOVE", "STAR", "RAIN", and "I Love You Today". Lee Young-hyun said, "Please know that I have a love for the songs," and explained, "We will sing all the songs live in the performance we are preparing."

Except for "To You with Light", Lee Young-hyun participated in writing and composing 10 songs himself. These are the songs that Lee Young-hyun completed while staying in Ganghwa Island, Incheon for a month, focusing only on music work. He said, "It all started with inspiration from Ganghwa Island. "It was so good every day that I thought if the release date hadn't come," he said, expressing satisfaction, "I think music should be fun, but this album work was like that."

Above all, Lee Young-hyun contains a story about overcoming his strong obsession with the stage in the album. He said, "There was a time when the stage was scary. After "I'm a Singer," I had a break for two to three years. I wanted to do well, so it came as a compulsion. Every time I went on stage, I was so crushed. Then, I gained confidence with the support of the people around me, and I got better," he confessed. The song that

tells the story is 'Just Love'. "I wrote this song because I wanted to express my gratitude to my colleagues, fans, and family for not letting go of my hand," Lee Young-hyun said. "They are the ones who made this album."

Lee Young-hyun's changes can be felt in this album, as her daily life has changed through marriage and childbirth during the eight-year album hiatus. Lee Young-hyun said, "In my 20s and 30s, I lived only with love every day. As I got married and had children, the kind of love changed. At the same time, my vision expands and I'm surprised by myself. I think that's reflected in this album," he hinted.

However, Lee Young-hyun's greatest weapon, his rich voice and singing ability, still remain. On this day, some of the songs were sung on the spot without music, and they surprised the reporters at the scene with their singing ability as if they were listening to the music without shaking at all. He said, "Eating well and sleeping well is the secret of my voice," and added, "It's hard to sing in the same condition as before, but I try a lot. Whatever the schedule, I always practice the day before the stage," he said.

After the release of "Private" at 6 p.m. on the same day, Lee Young-hyun will meet his fans at the COEX Auditorium in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul for two days from the 28th with a solo concert "To You Who Need My Song."
