The Media Solidarity held an award ceremony at the Korea Press Center this afternoon (19th) and presented awards to Kim Yoon-deok, a senior reporter of the Chosun Ilbo, Lee Seong-bok, CEO of the New Daily, and Oh Jung-hwan, former chairman of the MBC Union Emergency Committee.
He also presented a special award to Hwang Byung-gu, honorary chairman of the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the United States.
The Media Alliance said it will establish an advanced civic education center from next year to promote voter education projects to foster mature civic consciousness.
