Korea-Japan Senior Economic Council to be held in Tokyo tomorrow

The 16th Korea-Japan High-Level Economic Council, which the Korean and Japanese governments have been discussing this year's event, will be held in Tokyo, Japan tomorrow.

The meeting, which will be attended by Kim Hee-sang, Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic and Diplomatic Affairs, and Takeshi Akahori, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, will discuss global economic trends and bilateral cooperation, as well as ways to expand cooperation related to the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan.

An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the meeting will examine the current state of comprehensive economic cooperation between Korea and Japan, and that the two countries look forward to developing a future-oriented cooperative relationship.

In addition, he stressed that despite the recent domestic situation, we are continuing to make efforts to maintain normal external credibility and strengthen economic cooperation with major countries.
