When the prosecution decided to ban the public from interviewing former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun and to ban the receipt and sending of letters, former Minister Kim filed a quasi-appeal with the court asking to cancel it.

A quasi-appeal is a procedure in which an investigative agency's detention and seizure are canceled or requested to be changed.

Kim's lawyers argued that banning public interviews is a political act that isolates him, saying he has the right to communicate with the people who support emergency martial law.

At the same time, he explained the purpose of the quasi-appeal, saying that prohibiting the receipt and sending of letters violates legitimate defense opportunities.

Earlier, former Minister Kim was urgently arrested by the prosecution on the 8th on charges of engaging in important missions of rebellion and was arrested two days later.
