The National Election Commission has repeatedly dismissed it as a groundless claim that some have repeatedly raised suspicions of fraudulent elections after President Yoon Suk Yeol's statement, which cited allegations of fraudulent elections as one of the reasons for declaring emergency martial law.

Through explanatory materials, the Central Election Commission refuted the circumstances and claims that some YouTubers have presented as grounds for fraudulent elections.

First of all, with the claim of "manipulating the results of the vote count by abusing the election management system," the system only discloses the results of the vote count on the NEC's website and broadcasters, and draws the line that there is no program details related to the manipulation.

He also stressed that it is impossible to manipulate the results as it must be replaced between voter voting ballots and pre-manipulated counterfeit ballots.

He also argued that the average vote share of candidates for the Democratic Party and the Future United Party at the time was constant at 63 to 36 in the early voting in the 2020 general election in the Seoul metropolitan area.

The NEC said the figures were the result of artificially excluding other opposition and independent candidates, noting that when all candidates were included, the average vote share between Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi was all different.

He also criticized the Democratic Party and the United Party for 63 to 36 votes in 17 out of 253 constituencies and 6.7 percent, saying it is too much of a leap to argue for manipulation by comparing the votes of candidates from two political parties in some regions.

The NEC also explained that the suspicion of putting fabricated early ballots into the ballot box in the 22nd general election and changing the ballot box is not possible, citing the fact that observers are guaranteed to observe all processes and the storage situation is disclosed on CCTV 24 hours a day.

The NEC said that none of the 126 election lawsuits filed in the 21st general election were cited, adding that it is an act of shaking the foundation of the election system and causing social confusion by raising suspicions of manipulating votes and votes by highlighting only fragmentary aspects due to lack of understanding of election procedures.
