When a female employee of a singing shop she was dating was notified of the breakup, a 40-year-old man who killed her with resentment appealed against the first trial's ruling.

A 45-year-old A, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for murder and other charges in the first trial, filed an appeal to the court, and the prosecution also appealed for unfair sentencing.

In July, A was put on trial for allegedly wielding a weapon dozens of times to death against a victim, an employee, at a karaoke bar in Songjeong-dong, Donghae-si, Gangwon-do.

During the trial, A was said to have lost his mind and body at the time of the crime and claimed it was an accidental crime.

However, the prosecution judged that A's crime was planned in view of the post-war process, and requested a life sentence and 20 years of electronic device attachment order.

The first trial court criticized the defendant for committing crimes during the past criminal period and for not recovering from the damage, even though he had a criminal record.
