Civic group "Ruling party, cooperate in the process of appointing constitutional judges"

Civil society groups have criticized the people's power for interfering with the appointment of a Constitutional Court judge, delaying the impeachment trial process against President Yoon Suk Yeol.

The 'Yoon Suk Yeol Immediate Retreat and Social Great Reform Emergency Action', composed of more than 1,500 organizations nationwide, held a press conference in front of the People's Power Headquarters yesterday (19th) and urged the appointment of a justice of the Constitutional Court.

They pointed out that the power of the people decided not to participate in the presidential impeachment decision, but now it is delaying the appointment of a justice of the Constitutional Court.

At the same time, acting President Han Deok-soo insisted that if stabilizing state affairs is a top priority, the "Civil War Special Counsel Act" should be immediately promulgated and enforced without vetoing it.
