The snow, which began overnight, will gradually expand to the Midwest and Jeonbuk until tomorrow morning (21st), the weekend.

Depending on the location, a lot of snow can be concentrated at the level of a heavy snow warning, and after the snow stops, the temperature will drop significantly, resulting in the coldest weather this winter.

Reporter Jung Hye-yoon's report.

Snow that started on the west coast is gradually expanding inland.

On the morning of the weekend, all parts of the country are expected to be covered with white snow,

This time, some areas are likely to receive strong and heavy snow, so caution is needed.

The Korea Meteorological Administration is 1 to 5cm in Seoul by the morning of the weekend,

Other Midwest and Jeonbuk inland areas were expected to receive up to 10cm of snow.

It is equivalent to the level of a heavy snow advisory.

It is necessary to be prepared because snow in the cold may turn into road thin ice or ice, or strong snow may cause damage to facilities.

[Cong Sang-min / Meteorological Agency forecaster: Please pay special attention to traffic safety as the pressure trough approaching from the northwest passes quickly and strong and heavy snow of 1 to 3 cm per hour is expected around the central inland area between dawn and morning on Saturday 21st.]

After the snow stops, the cold wind will strengthen from the weekend night and get cold rapidly.

On Sunday morning, the temperature in Seoul will drop to -7 degrees, the lowest this winter, and the wind chill will plunge to -12 degrees.

The strongest cold wave this winter is expected to continue until Monday morning on the way to work.

Amid the cold weather, the west coast of Honam and Jeju Island are expected to see strong winds and snow until Sunday, so it is necessary to check for delays or cancellations to use the aircraft.
