Foreign media reported that the satellite assembly building at the West Sea Satellite Launching Station in Dongchang-ri, Cholsan-gun, North Pyongan Province, North Korea, was spotted nearing completion.

VOA, the Voice of America, said an analysis of satellite images on the 19th confirmed that the horizontal assembly building, about 1km away from the existing launch pad at the Dongchang-ri launch site, was completely covered with an iron roof.

VOA analyzed that the roof is all raised, so the external construction seems to be almost complete, and that the assembly building is likely to be in operation soon after the internal maintenance is completed.

A horizontal assembly is a facility designed to conduct a final inspection in a horizontal state before placing rockets and satellites perpendicular to the launch pad.
