Most courts across the country, including the Seoul Central District Court and the Seoul High Court, the nation's largest courts, will enter winter recess from tomorrow to the 3rd of next month.
In the Seoul Central District Court, the trial of Democratic Party Chairman Lee Jae-myung's alleged development of Daejang-dong, Baekhyun-dong, and Wirye New Town and Seongnam FC illegal donations, which was held once or twice a week, will resume on the 7th of next month.
The case of violation of the Public Official Election Act, which was sentenced to the loss of parliamentary seats in the first trial last month, and the case of perjury teacher, which was acquitted, will also be adjourned by the Seoul High Court after the suspension period.
Song Young-gil, chairman of the Pine Tree Party, was sentenced on the 8th of next month after the suspension period, and the second trial of former and incumbent lawmakers of the Democratic Party involved in the suspension is also scheduled after the suspension period.
Other courts across the country set recesses in similar periods, during which most trials, except for urgent or serious cases, are not held.
