Chey Tae-won Says "Korea's Economic System Is Working Normal" in World

Chey Tae-won, chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, wrote to the heads of the world chamber of commerce in 128 countries and foreign ambassadors in 116 countries, saying the Korean economy is functioning normally despite a recent series of difficulties.

Choi also stressed that he will quickly overcome the difficulties he faces based on high resilience and a stable market economy system.

The KCCI said Chairman Choi informed the stability of the Korean economy and expressed his willingness to hold the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation and APEC businessmen's event successfully through this letter.

Choi serves as the chairman of the 2025 APEC CEO Summit to be held in Gyeongju in October next year.
