A hiker in his 30s, isolated from a midwinter crash, was rescued 10 hours after receiving a report.

The Gyeonggi Fire Department said it rescued 37-year-old A, who fell from the vicinity of Baegunbong Peak in Yongmunsan Mountain, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do at around 5:10 p.m. yesterday (20th), at around 3:10 a.m. today, 10 hours after the request for rescue.

It was investigated that A fell when a tree he leaned on to rest broke while coming down from Baekwoonbong Peak.

Fire authorities explained that it was impossible to transfer helicopters due to weather and snow falling to minus 10 degrees Celsius at the time, and that rescue was difficult because it was a night search.
