Lawyer Kang Yong-seok, who was indicted on charges of being an innocent teacher for urging Kim Mi-na, a famous blogger, to file a false complaint, has been sentenced to probation.

The Supreme Court decided to dismiss Kang's appeal on the 6th and confirmed the original ruling, which sentenced him to six months in prison and two years of probation.

Earlier, the second trial pointed out that Kang's crime was quite bad because he was already punished for the same crime as a lawyer, but he taught innocent again without any sense of guilt.

Kang was indicted in 2015 on charges of encouraging Kim to falsely file a complaint against the head of the securities company's headquarters on charges of rape and injury, and Kim testified in court that Kang made a false complaint for the purpose of settlement.

If the suspended sentence of imprisonment is confirmed, Kang will be banned from practicing law for the next four years under the Lawyers Act, which disqualifies him for two more years.
