Zelenskyy "joins Ukraine NATO, depends on political decision"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stressed that Ukraine's membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, NATO, depends on political decisions.

"Ukraine's accession to NATO can be realized," Zelensky told Ukrainian diplomats in Kyiv on the 22nd local time, "but only if we fight at all levels necessary."

"Allies must understand how Ukraine can contribute to NATO and how it can stabilize international relations by joining NATO," it added.

Ukraine continues to ask NATO to join, but NATO has yet to confirm when it will join or formalize its invitation to join.
