Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei says Syrian youth will resist the new government that ousted Assad's regime.

"The Syrian youth have nothing to lose," Ayatollah Khamenei said in a speech on the 22nd local time, arguing that they are suffering from instability after the collapse of the Assad regime.

"Young people must confront those who have designed and implemented instability with a strong will," he said. "They will overcome as God wishes."

It also accused the U.S. and Israel of plotting against the Assad government to take Syrian resources.

Iran and its proxy Lebanese militant Hezbollah have supported Syria's Bashar al-Assad government during a 13-year civil war since 2011.
