The company was found to have manufactured more than 1,000 thermometers by importing and assembling semi-finished products from China without permission to manufacture medical devices and sold more than 900 online and offline.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety advised consumers who purchased the product not to use thermometers made by the company, saying that it may be difficult to accurately measure the temperature because they are not licensed for medical devices.
The product is called 'Contactless Infrared Thermometer' and the model is 'OC365-T100', and the sale period is between November 2020 and September 2022.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety explained that when purchasing a thermometer, check the mark "medical device" and "medical device item license number" on the product packaging, and look for specific information on the thermometer on the website of the medical device electronic complaint window.
