Lee Ki-heung, chairman of the Korea Sports Council, officially declared his bid for a third term.

Chairman Lee held a press conference at the Olympic Parktel in Seoul, unveiling the slogan, "Change in Korean Sports, I will complete it with athletes," and officially announced his candidacy.

To this end, we proposed financial independence, normalization of school sports, and establishment of trusted governance.

Chairman Lee spent a lot of time explaining various controversies at the press conference, saying, "There have been many controversies and speculations."

In particular, he explained the background of his third-term candidacy, saying, "It will be the first time since the founding of the Korean Sports Association that all power organizations in Korea have launched an investigation," adding, "I thought it was irresponsible to leave comfortably as if nothing had happened in this situation."

During the press conference, he vented, saying, "What on earth have you done wrong to demonize yourself?" and, "There's nothing that comes out smartly."

Chairman Lee refuted that various suspicions surrounding him were not true, although he was under investigation by the National Assembly, a hearing, a national audit, and a prosecution and police investigation.
