The ruling party "should withdraw its candidate for the Constitutional Court justice for 'ideological bias'"

The People's Power urged the Democratic Party to withdraw the recommendation of ineligible candidates and immediately stop the process of selecting judges.

People's Power lawmakers of the Constitutional Court held a press conference and said that the Democratic Party of Korea is trying to nominate candidates who cannot expect political neutrality and independence due to ideological bias.

Candidate Ma Eun-hyuk then pointed out that he had been active in various progressive organizations even before the appointment of judges, and political candidates also had a history of serving as chairman of the progressive judge research group.

At the same time, he stressed that the Constitutional Court should not be abused as an institution unique to the Democratic Party, as it cannot be a system for a specific party's party's party.
