As the investigation into emergency martial law progresses, the role of the Armed Forces Intelligence Command is drawing attention.
The situation in which the reservists who passed through this unit plotted martial law is revealed one after another, and as active-duty soldiers participated in it, it is pointed out that the intelligence agency was the core of this martial law.
Reporter Kim Moon-kyung reports.

The Armed Forces Information Command is only known about the unit logo, but the size and mission are strictly confidential.
It is only known to the extent that it disguises its identity and collects information from all over the world, or performs tasks such as North Korean operations in case of emergency.
In July, they were all withdrawn when the so-called black agents operating abroad were exposed and in danger.
[Kim Dae-young / Military Researcher at the Korea Institute for National Strategy: During peacetime, it is known to collect information not only on North Korea but also on neighboring countries, and in special cases carry out punitive operations against North Korea]
The intelligence agency, which was devoted to the security of the country in the dark, has emerged as a key organization in the conspiracy and implementation of martial law.
Former and current commanders of the intelligence service, as well as former intelligence officer-turned-colonel were arrested for participating in this.
In particular, specific circumstances are revealed when looking at the notebook of former intelligence commander Roh Sang-won secured by the police and the situation at the time of martial law.
Along with the deployment of each military unit and the formation of a separate investigation team, expressions were also found to induce North Korea's attack on the Northern Limit Line (NLL).
Just before the martial law proclamation, the head of the Army Armored Brigade headed to the intelligence office in Pangyo, and even summoned HID agents who were trained in the North Korean wave.
[Ha Young-gyu / Ministry of National Defense spokesman (last 19th): I think we need to check whether the similar reports you asked are true through investigation.]
Intelligence agents are found everywhere in the context of civilian presidents who were discharged from the military six years ago, including Moon Sang-ho, the commander of intelligence, who also participated in the "Hamburger Meeting."
It seems that some of the command's wrong choices, which took place while the troops were not willing to risk their lives as collateral, should be thoroughly investigated.
