This year's Christmas is unlikely to have a national 'white Christmas' like last year.

However, there is a possibility of a late "white Christmas" in the Midwest as there will be sporadic snow or accumulation from late at night on Christmas Day.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) will have sunny weather for a while. From late at night on Christmas Day, about 1cm of snow will fall and accumulate in Gangwon-do, and there will be sporadic snow in the metropolitan area and Chungcheong-do.

The temperature will also drop significantly, and the morning temperature in the central inland will remain around minus 10 degrees Celsius for the time being, and many places will stay below zero even in the middle of the day.

The cold wave is expected to continue until the end of the year and the beginning of the new year.
