In Lapland, northern Finland, which is called the "Santa Village," Santa Claus set out to deliver gifts to children all over the world.

The Associated Press reported on the 23rd local time that Santa Claus was traveling around the world again this year in his hometown of Rovaniemi, Lapland, and greeted people with Christmas greetings in various languages.

People gathered here cheered and shouted "Merry Christmas" as Santa climbed on a sleigh pulled by reindeer and set off.

The Associated Press explained that 1.2 million tourists visited last year for the Santa Village experience, up 30% from 2022.
