The Korea Customs Service said exports of bakery products, including snacks and bread, reached $404 million from January to November this year.
In particular, exports of bread such as pies and cakes have reached $60 million this year, up nearly 19% from last year.
It also added that 120 countries exported a lot of bakery products, followed by the United States, China and Japan, with 40 countries, including the United States, recording their highest performance in the same period.
The Korea Customs Service explained that while K-food's status and recognition have increased, a variety of Korean and differentiated bakery products such as bungeoppang and hoppang also seem to be gaining popularity.
