National Assembly Secretary-General Kim Min-ki released CCTV footage early on the 4th, shortly after the emergency martial law was declared, saying martial law forces were found to have been dispatched around the National Assembly Speaker's official residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul.

Secretary-General Kim held a press conference and explained that martial law forces wandered around the diplomatic mission about 50 minutes after 1 a.m. when the resolution to lift the emergency martial law was passed, and withdrew only after the emergency martial law was lifted through a Cabinet meeting.

In addition, he urged the Ministry of National Defense to identify the identity and order of the troops dispatched to the mission, along with whether there was an order to arrest the speaker of the National Assembly who may return to the mission.

Secretary-General Kim said he would submit the CCTV footage to the investigative agency, calling for a quick and thorough investigation into the allegations raised.
