Supreme Court nominee Ma Yong-joo said that military forces occupying or closing the National Assembly cannot happen even under emergency martial law.

Candidate Ma responded to the written question of So Byung-hoon of the Democratic Party of Korea regarding emergency martial law.

Candidate Ma also said that if the president's declaration of emergency martial law does not meet the requirements and could constitute a rebellion, the judiciary can examine it.

Regarding the impeachment trial, on the premise of the general theory, I thought that if the president's declaration of emergency martial law was evaluated as a serious violation of the Constitution and laws, it could be a reason for impeachment.Regarding the 'unfair election theory' that President

Yoon used as the cause of martial law, a number of lawsuits were filed to invalidate the election, but most of them were rejected by the court.

The National Assembly's confirmation hearing for candidate Ma will be held on the 26th.
