The Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea, claimed today that the first task of the ongoing anti-establishment struggle is to keep the new generation, who have not been subjected to imperialism and exploitation, from forgetting for a moment the bloody deeds and demonic existence.
The newspaper said exploitation and war are the mainstay of the revolution by generations that have only been seen in works of art, stressing that they should not forget Japanese colonial era and the Korean War.
In order to prevent young people from being exposed to South Korean and Western cultures, North Korea has enacted and controlled the Reaction Thought Culture Elimination Act, the Youth Culture Guarantee Act, and the Pyongyang Culture Language Protection Act, which are criticized as the so-called "three major evil laws."
