The business community is struggling to boost domestic demand as concerns about a recession grow in the aftermath of the emergency martial law.

The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry said it will send emergency letters to 73 chambers of commerce nationwide and launch a joint campaign to boost the vitality of the domestic market.

The KCCI recently asked member companies to actively engage in supporting the domestic market and small business owners, saying consumer sentiment has been shrinking and the difficulties of small business owners are increasing.

In particular, he asked us to proceed with year-end and New Year's meetings and events as scheduled and to make efforts to purchase local specialties.
