In an SBS radio interview, Rep. Lee responded to the question of whether he would run if an early presidential election was held due to the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol.
He then argued that he had a chance to win the last general election when he competed with the two major parties in a three-way race in Hwaseong-eul, Gyeonggi-do, his constituency, and that he had a chance to win the presidential election.
At the same time, he dismissed the possibility of unification with the ruling party candidates in the early presidential election or the power of the people and the merger of the New Reform Party as impossible at the moment.
