President Yoon Suk Yeol, who is suspected of a rebellion in connection with the emergency martial law incident, refused to comply with the second request from the Joint Investigation Headquarters, which includes the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and the police.

Most of the investigation team, from Oh Dong-woon, the head of the airborne division, to Cha Jung-hyun, the chief prosecutor, came to work and waited, but the investigation was eventually canceled.

The Joint Investigation Headquarters sent a request for attendance to the official residence and the president's office on the 20th, but President Yoon refused to receive mail and did not read electronic official documents.

Yoon has not responded to the request for attendance one after another, the headquarters is also discussing how to respond. First of all, we are putting weight on giving the president a third summons notice.

An official from the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit explained that it is a normal procedure to request attendance up to three times and said it is important to follow due procedures and principles in the procedure.

However, some predict that it may be difficult for the investigation to take place within this year if President Yoon does not cooperate with the investigation for the time being as he focuses on the impeachment hearings.
