As smog from China is added to the atmospheric congestion, a "warning" of ultra-fine dust is being issued mainly in western Incheon.

The National Institute of Environmental Research announced today (26th) that ultrafine dust concentrations in western Incheon, Yeongjong, and Yeongheung soared by more than 75μg (microgram) per cubic meter, issuing an "ultrafine dust warning" as of 5 a.m.

At one point at dawn, the concentration of ultrafine dust in Yeongheung, Incheon, soared to 93μg per cubic meter,

In addition, Gyeonggi and Chungnam recorded more than 90㎍g, and Yangcheon-gu, Seoul also recorded 89㎍g.

The National Institute of Environmental Research urged special attention, saying that the air quality will remain "bad" during the day, especially in the central and Honam regions, although ultrafine dust will gradually move southeast due to northwest winds.

The 'ultra-fine dust alert' is issued when the average hourly concentration exceeds 75㎍g per cubic meter for more than 2 hours.
