Taxis rush to sidewalks in New York, USA...Seven people injured, including pedestrians.

Seven people, including a taxi driver and a pedestrian, were injured when a taxi drove into the sidewalk in New York, the U.S. on Christmas Day.

Six pedestrians, including a 9-year-old child, were injured when a taxi driven by a 58-year-old driver suddenly jumped into the sidewalk at an intersection near Macy's Department Store in midtown Manhattan on the night of the 25th.At the time of the

accident, the streets were crowded with many people, including shoppers and tourists, for Christmas, police explained.

All seven of the injured, including the 58-year-old taxi driver, are not known to be life-threatening.

The police are investigating the details of the accident.
