Yongin National Industrial Complex's industrial complex plan, which will be the world's largest semiconductor industrial complex, was approved three months earlier than the original goal.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that as Yongin Semiconductor National Industrial Complex's approval of the industrial complex plan is completed today, it will sign an implementation agreement between the project implementer and the tenant company and announce the designation as a national industrial complex on the 31st.

Yongin Semiconductor National Industrial Complex is a large-scale national strategic project that houses six large-scale semiconductor manufacturing plants, three power plants, and more than 60 small manager partners on a 7.28 million square meter site.

The government explained that private investment worth up to 360 trillion won will be made by the completion of the entire complex, resulting in 1.6 million employment and 400 trillion won in production.

In addition, it announced that the construction of road, water, and power infrastructure will proceed smoothly in time for the first operation of Yongin National Industrial Complex Manufacturing Plant No. 1 in 2030.
