[Gyeonggi] Approved Yongin Semiconductor National Industrial Complex Plan...Construction target for December 2026

The government approved the plan to build Yongin National Industrial Complex, the world's largest semiconductor industrial complex, three months earlier than the original goal, and decided to advance the start of construction from June 2030 to December 2026 through rapid compensation starting next year.

Yongin Semiconductor National Industrial Complex is a large national strategic project with six large-scale fabs, three power plants, and more than 60 "materials, parts, and equipment" partners on a 7.28 million square meter site.

It is expected that private investment of up to 360 trillion won will be made by the completion of the entire complex, creating added value, including 1.6 million jobs and 400 trillion won in production.
