The average monthly income of college graduates is 3.09 million won...employment rate at large corporations decreases

According to the results of the 2023 Employment Statistics for Graduates of Higher Education Institutions released today (26th) by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Education Development Institute, the average monthly income of college graduates was 3.09 million won, up 244,000 won from a year ago.

On the other hand, the average monthly income of junior college graduates was 2,577,000 won, and graduate school graduates were 5,096,000 won.

Small and medium-sized companies accounted for the highest employment share by company type at 41.8%, followed by non-profit corporations at 17.2%, state or local governments at 12.2%, and mid-sized companies at 10.8%.

The number of large companies employed stood at 10.2 percent, down 2.2 percentage points from a year ago.
