Former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, who is considered a key figure in leading the martial law crisis, is expected to be put on trial for the first time among those accused of rebellion.

The prosecution's special investigation headquarters is expected to arrest and indict former Minister Kim Yong-hyun, who is suspected of engaging in important missions and abusing his authority as early as tomorrow (27th).

If the prosecution decides to indict him, it will be the first time that former Minister Kim has been put on trial on charges of civil war since the martial law incident.

Former Minister Kim, who directly proposed to President Yoon to declare an emergency martial law, is suspected of being involved in the use of troops from the National Assembly and the NEC and the operation of arrest groups targeting politicians.

Former Minister Kim held a press conference today (26th) and protested that declaring martial law is an illegal investigation, saying it is a unique act of governance by the president.

Former Minister Kim was arrested and arrested on the 8th, five days after martial law, after voluntarily attending the prosecution for questioning.
