Although the People's Power decided not to vote on the constitutional judge's appointment after a general meeting of lawmakers, some votes have occurred.

Four members of the ruling party, including Cho Kyung-tae, Kim Ye-ji, Kim Sang-wook and Han Ji-ah, who voiced their support for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol, participated in the vote at the plenary session of the bill on the appointment of three candidates for constitutional judges today (26th).

After the vote, Representative Cho Kyung-tae told reporters, "I hope that the impact of the emergency martial law will calm down as soon as possible and that the impeachment phase will be resolved," suggesting a vote in favor of the Constitutional Court.

As a result of the anonymous vote, the opposition-recommended motion to appoint Ma Eun-hyuk and Jeong Gye-seon was approved with 193 votes in favor, one against and one abstaining.

The motion to appoint candidate Cho Han-chang, which is a share of the people's strength recommendation, exceeded the threshold of the National Assembly plenary session with 185 votes in favor, six against, one abstaining, and three invalid.
