Asked about the possibility of easing the North Russian visa system, Russian Foreign Ministry Consular Director Alexei Klimov replied in an interview with RIA Novosti on Wednesday local time, "We are currently working on a draft agreement on mutual travel for citizens."
"North Korea is included in the list of countries where citizens can visit Russia on an electronic visa," he added.
"We value cooperation with North Korea, including in the consular field," Klimov said.
Amid the accelerating military closeness, such as the dispatch of North Korean troops, it seems that the government is also trying to promote civilian traffic through the promotion of travel cooperation.
Russia has continued to travel Russian tourists to North Korea since the beginning of this year, and on the 16th, regular passenger rail services between North Korea and Russia resumed.
