Japan Airlines (JAL) once experienced a system failure due to a cyberattack, which delayed flights en masse and suspended ticket sales.

Investigators are investigating the possibility of a DDoS attack.

Correspondent Kim Se-ho's report from Tokyo.

There are messages all over the airport's electronic boards announcing flight delays.

A network device connecting inside and outside of Japan Airlines (JAL) was attacked by a cyber attack.

There have also been a number of cases in which luggage management systems have failed and cannot be checked in.

More than 60 flights from Haneda Airport were delayed for 15 minutes to an hour and a half.

The Japanese government is paying keen attention to additional repercussions, as it is a cyber attack targeting Japan's two largest airlines, Japan Airlines, along with all Japanese airlines.

The system was restored at 2:20 p.m., seven hours after the failure, and the issuance of tickets resumed.

Japan Airlines explained that there was no customer information leakage or virus damage, and it did not lead to cancellation.

The Japanese National Police Agency is investigating a possible DDoS attack that has sharply increased the amount of Internet connectivity, disrupting the network's normal traffic.

In May, a North Korean hacker group reportedly hacked a Japanese cryptographic asset company and stole 48.2 billion yen worth of bitcoin and 450 billion won worth of our money.

A series of cyberattacks targeting major facilities in Japan have also put the authorities on alert to come up with cyber security measures.
