Foreign media reported that acting president Han Deok-soo refused to appoint a constitutional judge and the opposition party proposed impeachment, evaluating that Korea's political crisis is deepening.

The Washington Post reported that the selection of constitutional judges is being delayed due to the intensifying conflict between the ruling and opposition parties, and that the possibility of Han Deok-soo's impeachment could halt high-level diplomacy and worsen political paralysis that has shaken financial markets.

The Associated Press says there are disagreements in South Korea over the quorum of impeachment cases against the acting president and that the impeachment case against Han could face legal ambiguity.

Reuter also said that legal scholars in Korea have different opinions on the quorum of impeachment decisions, and diagnosed that the constitutional crisis triggered by martial law could intensify in connection with the motion of Han's acting impeachment.

Bloomberg said political uncertainty is putting more pressure on the economy amid a slowdown in the economy with a range of protectionist policies that could hurt South Korea due to Trump's return.
