The Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office said it held a 29-year-old woman, A, who had escaped the investigation network by committing fraud 10 years ago, two months before the statute of limitations expired and handed her over to trial.

Mr. A is accused of stealing 600,000 won in February 2015 by deceiving him as if he was going to sell a wallet and others on social media and only receiving money.

At that time, A was investigated as a police reference as the name of the account used in the crime, but he was not booked for lying that he had lent the account to an acquaintance who had left the country.

The prosecution explained that A was caught as a true criminal about two months before the statute of limitations expired, based on the fact that A had a final judgment in the same way and that an acquaintance had never left the country before the crime date.
