Supreme Court Justice Kim Sang-hwan retired today (27th) after a six-year term.

Justice Kim said at the retirement ceremony at the Supreme Court that the court is the last bastion of basic rights, and that he hopes the law of justice will contribute to the peaceful progress of our society in light of the world equally.

He also said he knew that even if it was judged according to evidence and jurisprudence, it could be far from the truth that the parties fully experience and remember, thereby hurting the parties to the trial.

He then stressed that he thinks the role of the court and the people's faith should not be obtained overnight, but should be steadily built up through fair and faithful trials based on constitutional values.
