[Busan] Final designation of Gijang-gun and Gangseo-gu 'Special Opportunity Development Zone'

The Busan Metropolitan Government said Gijang-gun and Gangseo-gu, where investment plans by companies related to power semiconductors, secondary batteries and auto parts are presented, have been finally designated as special opportunity development zones by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

There are 19 investment companies in the special zone, and Busan City estimates that 2,200 people will be employed due to investment worth 2.35 trillion won.

The Busan Metropolitan Government said it expects competitive companies in the Seoul metropolitan area to move their headquarters to Busan and expand their factories in accordance with the designation of a special zone that encourages companies to invest in local areas.
